Microsoft launched the Xbox 360 long before Sony and it was alot cheaper, that alone captured alot of impatient gamers. your comments doesnt make sense and this thread is probably going to turn into a flame war due to some of the narrowmindedness going on here,

Point 1 Launching a console first does not mean your a going to win the war, the wii was launched last and it sold almost the same amount of the xbox and ps3 consoles combined. the dreamcast launched 1st and it came in last for its generation so ur theory is null and void.

Point 2

The xbox 1 was only launched in certain regions unlike the ps2, thats why it was not as mass adopted as the ps2, and the original xbox didnt fail it came second in total sales for that generation which means that nintendo actually failed cause they had more gaming heritage and the Gamecube was launched in more areas than the xbox.
