The reason I got an xbox wasnt because of the release date, I only decided to get one once were both out. It was pretty much price. The problem with the PS3 was it was i think at the time R1000 more, but the games looked pretty much exactly the same. In the end I guess it wasn't practical to make games look better on one of the consoles, so most game pretty much looked exactly the same.
What I'm most excited about the new generation isnt which one is going to be better, but i believe they will stop holding back PC games. It currently doesnt really make business sense to make an insanely good looking game, and then have the same game look crap on the xbox/ps3.
