Assuming that you have a direct link between Earth and Mars (no intermediate hops through a network) and a clear line of sight to Earth, you'll get about a 6 minute ping at best. At worst you'll get more than a 44.5 minute ping assuming the same conditions. At its closest, Mars is 54.6 million km from Earth and 401 million km at it's furthest (hence the best and worst case pings I have provided). The ping times are representative of a two-way trip i.e. packet transmission to Earth and then back again.
