The Sharks will not comment on media reports suggesting former Springbok captain John Smit will be appointed as the CEO of the Durban franchise.

"The board of the Sharks (Pty) Ltd will be convening on Monday and a media release will be issued on Tuesday," Sharks chairman Steven Saad said in a brief statement on Wednesday.
