With games like Left4Dead and TF2 you can either join a dedicated server and then invite your friends to join that server (PSN style) with you or you can just host your own server and then also invite friends (Xbox Live Style).

Steam is awesome and is one of the huge reasons PC gaming has not died, yet (imho of course).

Interesting thing is that Activision Blizzard games are not on Steam. Don't be surprised if Battle.net 2.0 is going to be their version of Steam... but that is a topic all on its own!

    /Shoots Q121.

Borderlands isn't a fps trying to be an RPG and its not an RPG trying to be an fps. Its a roleplaying shooter. Tinman got some hands-on time at Rage and that was enough to get him excited. they had me at Roleplaying Shooter.

I LOVED diablo... and the thought of running round finding loot excites me fallout 3 was just too slow for me.... I dont want to have to think of sneaking ect ect... I want to go in guns blazing and wipe out huge numbers of enemies... almost die... take a potion and carry on killing the suckers

So many good games being released now...they probably all plan on release date near christmas so they sell more, but there's more competition so it will result in the oposite.
