Default Stay away from school, Cosatu tells pupils

Cosatu and teachers' unions have asked high school pupils to take a day off to join a protest march against education inequality, it was reported on Tuesday.

"We feel everyone must make a sacrifice of one day to highlight the inadequacy of their schools," Western Cape Congress of SA Trade Unions (Cosatu) secretary Tony Ehrenreich told The Cape Times.

Grade 10 to Grade 12 pupils were reportedly asked to join in the march to Parliament on Wednesday.

They're not providing it, they're ensuring it...deliberately sabotaging education to ensure votes from future generations of mindless sheep. The LAST the ANC wants is an educated electorate.

    My condolences to the kids...

Surely some fool in these pathetic unions can see that advising kids to skip school is irresponsible?

Why is Casatus answer always to make things worse. Mine strikes then get every mine to strike, Bus drivers want ridiculous increase then have every driver striking. Don't want etolls to waste money then block the freeway for the day, don't like service delivery then destroy and burn what few services have been delivered.

Now we have, "Don't like the school system letting you down, then skip a day and increase the pressure on yourselves, that will make things better for your year marks that decide your future. Who needs an education when you can trash the streets and say how unhappy you are instead of doing something productive."

They forgot the part where every child that joins gets a free 2 week training in street begging and sad story sign design

We need the likes of Margaret Thatcher to get these miscreants to tow the line. The unions have almost been given to much power, too many rights and allowed to do as they please.
