    Exclamation The Demise of Raptr

So the game and achievement tracking in Raptr haven't worked correctly for me for months. At the time when I write this my Raptr is stuck showing me as playing Final Fantasy XIII. I can't stop it in any way and once I start playing something else the time I did play for Final Fantasy XIII is lost.

I've contacted their support about it before and they said they will look into it.

But and here's the big but. I quote:

Actually, our main focus is aiming towards streaming and recording. It's become very good for us as a company and we have more users now than we ever did with just game time and achievements. While I doubt we'll stop game tracking and achievements, they have become a lower priority than they were a year ago or so. We understand that tracking game time was some user's main use for the site, but Raptr had to look at other opportunities and ideas to keep growing.
They also said they won't be fixing the desktop app's game tracking any time soon.

And here's another sad thing: They won't be releasing a 2014 summary like they did in previous years.

Raptr used to be so awesome. I moved from XFire to Raptr and it was so great. I love having my time tracked. For some reason it's become an integral part of my gaming since the XFire days.

It looks like those days are gone.

Do any of you know of something similar to the old Raptr? That can track game time for both PC and consoles and well do the stuff that the old trusty Raptr used to do. And hopefully something that can import the Raptr hours.

"Then remove the tracking portion of the site."

That would require more work than fixing the problem.

I'm pretty sure my Raptr is working just fine. It's tracking my last game that was played and hasn't caused me too many problems.

Edit: Though, I'm pretty sure I played TR yesterday (first played GTAO, then TR and and again GTAO afterward). I don't rely on this service for anything other than its game time played feature.

Nah it's a known issue. Raptr works fine with Steam games for instance with the occasional hiccup. Non Steam games start giving problems depending on the game and then the big fail comes in with console games. I think they dropped support completely for Playstation games and with XBox games it doesn't work most of the time.

Even when using the manual tracking it gets stuck for people.

Ek wil mos se. Jy speel FFXIII aan een maar dit bly op 3 ure se speel tyd. Hax ekse!

Edit: Raptr only recognises my Steam Library when it adds games I've recently downloaded - F.E.A.R. 2 being the most recent addition.

Strange then that this function doesn't even work for me.

Then you shouldn't be using Raptr for it.

But like Solitude, I use it purely for tracking. I couldn't care for the recording, just tried it out once only to find that my "graphics card is not compatible".

I'm sure it'll say that for most cards.

Yea, i have recently uninstall Raptr too, their focus on all these other things has just been a waste for me. I want to see play stats, and summaries and all that. Raptr has consistently made it harder and harder for me to see even basic stats, so i decided screw it, it's now gone.

I have now decided i am simply going to use Steam to track hours instead, since most of my PC games are bought on Steam, i am just hoping they will add non-steam game tracking eventually (since you can add non-steam games to your library and it will track the last played date etc).

Also since all the publishers seems to have their own freaking launchers going Origin / Ubisoft / Battle.NEt , i have found they ALSO track hours of their games too, so one way or another i am getting the hours tracked, just not always in one place.
