The nice thing about installing to a HDD is the artificats that disapear. In some games (GTAIV and one or 2 others) there is tearing and artificats which dissapear after the HDD installation's been done. My first xbox also chew my Forza 2 disk

I bought my Xbox at the end of May this year and could never understand why people complain about the noise, since my drive made absolutely no noise while i played... well until i purchased Halo 3...
Geez I thought my drive was eating the disc!!! Sounds terrible. I actually took the disc out immediately thinking something is wrong.
Anyway, Installing Halo made all the difference.
