reedOsama is a combination of my surname and 'Sama', a Japanese honorific
Was I being pretentious when I came up with it? Don't think so... just heard it a lot in anime.Sama (様 【さま】?) is a markedly more respectful version of san. It is used mainly to refer to people much higher in rank than oneself, toward one's guests or customers (e.g., a sports venue announcer addressing members of the audience), and sometimes toward people one greatly admires. When used to refer to oneself, sama expresses extreme arrogance (or self-effacing irony), as with ore-sama (俺様?, "my esteemed self").
On other forums people think it has something to do with Bin Laden, which was kind of annoying since I didn't even think of it like that and I sort of had a flashback through all my posts through the eyes of an extremist/extremist-supporter.
Anyway. That's it![]()
