    WHY??!

    I did not pay R479 for F.E.A.R. 2 AND i will NOT pay R500 for MW2.

Seriously, I only play single-player (1GB cap), and MW had quite a short single-player campaign (But it was Flippen' good!) , I seriously hope that the SP campaign is a bit "meatier" for lack of a better word.

And why do people pretend that DLC makes up for this? Originally, "DLC" was mostly free, now companies expect you to pay for every new Map pack and game mode they release? What happened to fully fledged Expansion packs? (with an extended SP campaign), those still make sense.

It's not PC gamers who benefit by not paying for the "DLC" (in this case they kind of do pay for it), but the console gamers who get ripped off by having to pay for it.

Well seems like you will be able to get it for R435-ish so it's not too bad. Not great...but acceptable at least

Thinking back to when I started gaming, I borrowed a lot of games from friends, and I often got their thoughts on different games/companies when I did so. Those new gamers will still read reviews, and still speak to their friends who game as well. Word of mouth is a very powerful force in marketing, and when that word of mouth is negative, you're going to really struggle to get new customers. Also, I'd be interested to see how long the trend of gamers doubling every year continues for. There are only so many people in the world...
The difference between pizza and your opinion is that I asked for pizza.

Depends on the store and their policy. I know with BT it does. TakeTwo will honor previously placed pre orders for maw2.

Also, remember that alot of companies (not just game companies) are following the trends of making money NOW not making money 10 years from now. So they don't care when the amount of gamers stop increasing, the'll just find something new to exploit soon enough.

Well taketwo in there help they state the following "
What happens if the price of your pre-ordered item goes up?
If the price of your pre-ordered item increases prior to its release, we will temporarily suspend your pre-order. At the same time we will send you an email, offering you the alternative of changing your pre-order to the new price, or cancelling your pre-order. If we don't receive any response within 48 hours to our email notification we will automatically cancel the pre-order.
    "

But I have yet to get a email from them. So fingers crossed.
