Tbh, we've been having it good until now.. I distinctly remember my brother paying R300 for Tomb Raider 2 in 98 or 99. GTA was around that price mark as well (R270 I think) when I got it around that time as well. I'm actually somewhat surprised that we still get our games at lower prices than the consoles.
That said, the nature of this price hike, ie. just before the game comes out, and the corporate greed shadow very clearly hanging over it, makes it sting a quite bit and will likely mean that MW2 will drop down in my priority list.
