According to the paper, Raymond Trollip said members of the coloured community should be referred to by their different tribes, such as the Khoi, San, Nama, Khoran, and the Griqua.

Coloured here: Impossible. The "tribes" have mixed too much. How do we discern between the different tribes?

There's an idea that I've been singing for quite a while... We are not our pigment, we are humans, that's all that matters...

TBH I don't really see the problem in being called white, coloured or black.
I feel it is the same as somebody saying I have blonde hair...
Besides the term coloured fits in with rainbow nation

The ANC actually wants to categorize coloreds under as being black......meaning on our ID's it will say we are black.

if we are catergorised by tribes, will that affect all colours, will whites be split into their European ancestral races, like Scottish white, English white, dutch white, and blacks into Zulu, Xhosa, Sotho , cause the check boxes are going to be insane when applying for a id document, three pages to search for your proper ethnicity

There is actually a big debate now on the origin of the coloreds, and it did not start by the khoisan,I cannot give full detail, but it's a big issue in politics now.
