Default Install a Transforming D-Pad to your Xbox 360 Controller

Are you tired of the disc like D-PAD on your Xbox controller?

Really liked the Transforming D-PAD but don't want to spent the money to buy a whole new Special or Limited edition controller that has one?

    Limited Edition Controller

If you said YES this is what you need.

you will need a Torx t8h screwdriver to open your controller and a Stanley knife to cut the slots for the new dpad's Feet (Old one had 2, New 1 has 4)

The transforming Dpad Can be bought on Ebay for About R10 - R35 Depending on the supplier (usually shipping is free)

I didnt bother to make a video since there are already Hundreds of Guides on Youtube

Follow this guide and you wont go wrong

I decided to mod my Old Elite Controller that i use with my PC most of the time.

this is the end result (I also swopped my Thumbsticks since they where in pretty bad shape from all the years of gaming)

Modding the controller Took me less than 10 Minutes, thats how easy it is.

I'm not a big fan of the colours, but I wouldn't mind getting my hands on a couple of those.

The Xbox controller is actually quite easy to take apart and put back together, especially the wired ones, since they don't use funny screws. The wireless ones use those weird things in the pictures in the original post.

I remember breaking my ps2 control like this trying to be a smartass. Off topic. Anyone know where I can buy a ps2 component cable? It's funny that my ps2 control is broken and my ancient ps1 controller is still chugging along
