*edit* I'm a doofus. Fixed the issue - my rear speakers are at the head of my bed and so I increased my front speakers' volume to watch a movie from bed and forgot that I'd done so. Setting all my speakers' levels back to 0dB and/or boosting the rear channels has normalized stuff again...
Anyway, Alan Wake CE + American Nightmare on Humble Bundle.

I got Alan Wake CE + American Nightmare via the Humble Bundle and am having issues playing it with surround sound. Specifically, voices behind me are almost completely disappearing, which is problematic since there are occasions where there may be dialogue coming from someone that's important that will (because of the game's camera) be moved to behind me, such as early into the game...
Has anyone else encountered this issue and found a way to correct it?
Sound chipset in use is the Realtek ALC889 with its standard drivers and speakers are the Logitech X-530. Anything else, games included, that make use of surround sound is working fine so far. Alan Wake is the first thing with which I'm having issues.
