I haven't met anyone who passed on their first attempt. Most people I know either rolled or failed due to the pathetic observations. I hate the way the K53 testing works with the observation rule having to take eyes off the road just to look down a side street and that the tester can see you physically moving your head can be downright dangerous. I am not surprised if that was the reason why Murph's brother crashed.

I failed on my first attempt because of rolling on the hill.
When I did the test for my second time, which I passed, coming out of Hillstar there is a very slight incline. I rolled on it but I don't think the tester noticed, she was too busy mucking about on Mxit probably to notice. Other than that though my driving was pretty decent so overall I feel I deserved to pass anyway.

In most cases the traffic officers passing you out are @ssHol3s and look for reasons for you to fail, cause that way you have to pay to make another appointment, thus them getting more money in, skelms.

I failed first time for unnecessary breaking, I pretty much figured that's why taxis, find it so easy to get theirs

Does anyone else get annoyed at people who just got their license and drive crap on the roads?

Everytime I failed it was in the yard for made up reasons or I didnt score enough points to pass.

What was funny on the 7th try I did everything the same as I always do and passed quite easily with lots of points to spare so they just make up anything to fail you even if you didnt do what they said you cant contest it and have to come back and pay for another test.

On the last test I also had to pass a tractor on an uphill too, single lane so maybe thats what gave me extra points .

Passed 1st time round, had to argue with the guy testing me after he told me I'm speeding over 60 when I just passed the 80km board just before the wynberg turn off on the M5 ... failed the learners test like twice I think :-/

Though my brother in law at the time did take me to Bo Kaap to learn how to drive so you could say I learnt the hard way
