The Humble eBook Bundle actually looks interesting, I don't get why people lose their minds, there's some really decent stuff on offer. What do you people have against reading? Guess I was brought up differently

I'm disappointed that Yahtzee Croshaw's "Mogworld" is currently sitting at $10. If that tier drops down to $8, I'll get it. Just in case you didn't know, he's the guy that does Zero Punctuation. It has a 4.6 out of 5 rating on Amazon, based on 146 reviews, so I'd say it's above decent .

I have nothing against reading - I just prefer a good old fashioned book. I love the smell of paper and ink and the feel of turning the paper, so I guess part of the reading experience is being able to experience it with the majority of my senses.

    You meant to say:

Yeah. As much as I enjoy a good book, I actually prefer a good game.

Sorry. The grammar National Socialist German Worker couldn't resist.

+1. I tried reading on my phone, it was terrible. I can think of many better things to do when staring at my pc screen, and unfortunately I cant grab said screen and curl up in bed and read a few pages. Nothing beats a paperback

I'm calling bull on you two. When did either of you last read a book in any format? If it's got pictures, it doesn't count

If you have a decent e-reader app installed on your phone or tablet, reading ebooks can be pretty great. I use Aldiko, but any app that allows you to play with text and background colors to minimize eyestrain should do the trick. There are apps that are pretty crap and I think those have put off a lot of people from e-books.
I read e-books almost exclusively and let me tell you, if you enjoy reading, make the switch asap. Just being able to carry a whole bookcase with you wherever you go is a huge bonus.

Just finished Dr. Sleep (Stephen King) that I got for my birthday and busy re-reading IT (900+ pages by yes, Stephen King). I've read every Terry Pratchett Discworld novel more than once and I used to be a big fan of David Morrell (guy who created Rambo...yes, Rambo, or First Blood, was a book). Also recently purchased and finished World War Z (great book, shitty movie) and its older brother, the Zombie Survival Guide. Have read the entire Hannibal series (nothing beats 1st one) and own many other Stephen King's.

If you want a more in-depth history of my last-read books, I'd be happy to continue.

I'll say again, I'm NOT a fan of staring into a phone/tablet screen and reading. I'd possibly get a Kindle if it didn't mean having to rebuy the majority of my books, which I already have, from Amazon, which I don't like.

But I think this is rather off topic, so I will stop here
