These were made last year when i was trying to make a realistic metal material in Blender Cycles.I struggle to model things currently,i know blender in and out but i have how you would say ''creators block''.
Connection to reality could not be established, please try again later
I wrote this piece back in Jan/Feb, it's the last piece I've written (no motivation for more pieces yet)
Loud Silence
Here I am, there you are, and here WE are.
What do you and I, what do we have to say? Nothing.
We say nothing when the warmth of dawn envelops us as the sun rises; we say nothing when the chill of dusk nibbles into our spines as the sun sets.
We say nothing when the seasons turn and conditions undergo the smallest to the painstakingly dramatic metamorphoses.
We say nothing when the calmest of lakes pull a Dr. Jekyll and Hyde and show us their hidden array of raging seas.
So what do you and I, what do we say? We loudly say nothing, because nothing is our anthem, our global anthem.
It is the one thing that we truly revel in as we globally do it in tandem. It is the loud proud song of our world that connects the dots you and me aligned in the grand picture that is only a mere lie. It does it so elegantly, you can’t deny.
We are prodigies of this great song. It is so heavily embedded in our nature that it wouldn’t be a stretch to dub us connoisseurs of this anthem, masters of a loud silence.
I hear murmurs from all corners, one murmur in particular asks, “What’s wrong?”
It’s instantly answered by a heavily disgruntled whisper that says, “Everything is wrong”
But we carry on and sing our great anthem.
I hear a barely audible cry in the periphery of my ear, a cry fighting to be heard over the totalitarian voice of The Anthem.
The Cry sobs of injustice; it tells sad tales of pain riddled changes it sees in the world; it speaks of intolerance, it harps on about the ignorance of people who would rather sing the anthem and say nothing. I lend The Cry my ear and it says to me,
“This is a beautiful world, a world I love to the death of me, but there are things fundamentally wrong in this beautiful world. Humanity carries on with life in a hive mindset, a hive mind governed by society. We in turn, slur, judge, and curse. Thereafter we redefine beauty and intellect among many other things through the eyes and whims of Society, the Dictator of this Hive Mind, and the cycle goes full circle, we once again slur, judge, and curse. This is all a…”
What was that? I say as I fight to hear its last sobs, “This is all…”
The Cry is finally drowned out by the loud silence that is our anthem.
The loud silence is broken by a scream that grabs hold of my ear and yells out a burning question that brands itself deep into my mind, spirit and heart,
“How do you bear this loud silence?” I have no answer, so it carries on,
“Do you not understand what this blaring silence is? Each one of you sees the small and larger wrongs of your world, you each have murmurs, you each whisper, you each cry about one thing or the next, and you do so in unison, which is all good and well, but you see a neighbor struggling, and you say “I wish I could help” then you turn around and probably do nothing as if you’d never even made notice of your neighbor’s trials, you see a child begging in the street and subconsciously you weep, but then you turn around and say “He’s probably in the streets for a reason, damn troublemaker, in fact I think he’s faking that limp, just to squeeze a little more out of my sympathy”. Maybe you’re right, because you’ve lived his day, his month, his year, his lifetime, right? You know better, don’t you?
You each see the error of your leaders, yet you carry on with your silent anthem, as long as your immediate need or greed is satisfied, it doesn’t matter what your leaders do for the others around you, right? Because its each man for himself, go on correct me. Some of you may be willing to break out of this loud silence, but is it enough? You remember that guy who went hungry for the wrongs he saw in this world? I think he was Indian, Anyway that was saying something. What about that other guy who had a dream? Or even the guy who changed his last name to a single letter just to point out that Society shouldn’t really govern us? They had quite a lot say and they said it, didn’t they? The footprints of their words are still remembered as an inspiration. You… ”
Once again The Silence proves its strength as it devours The Scream.
As I consider the stab wounds so brutally administered by The Scream, I realize a dreadful truth. Our true words are not the ones we mold with our mouths; they are but murmurs, whispers, and mere shadows in light of our true words, the words we act out. These words are what we do in spite of what we say.
I painfully realize that we can’t regret the words we’ve never done, we can’t take back the words we’ve never done, and the grimmest of them all, we can’t reap the rewards or any resulting happiness of the words we’ve never done.
So, here I am, there you are, and where we stand, what do we have to say? We say everything.
What do we do? Nothing, as we shout out our loud silent anthem.

I know it's kind of long![]()
Dunno if you consider this a kind of art, I do tho since I have no talent fir writing or sketching :P
I do aquatic scapes in small tanks - 30L up to 70L and I use a low tech method, aka I do not rely on fancy goodies or CO2 to boost plant growth - most of my tanks take about 6 month or longer to grow into the look.
Final results on a few scapes before I restarted them.
That is a 40L tank. That was last years look.
Currently it looks like this: (this scape is about 3 weeks old)
My 70L before I rescaped it this weekend :
After the weekend's work:
The fun part is waiting for it to grow in, changing the look slightly, changing the plants if they don't work.
I'd say that is art![]()
Hehehe Thanks Dee, I have to admit I love playing with tanks and their looks. The fun part is waiting for it to grow in, or flop :P I have luck with some plants others not at all. The second scape, basically melted away in the space of 3 weeks. Hence the rescape ;D
Very cool looking tanks use to have fish until something in the water killed them all so gave up with fish and got a cat instead.
