Bad voice acting? The script might have had a few bad mistakes (probably a result of bad translation), but I never found the voice acting bad. I'm also one of the only people who actually enjoyed the rhythm based combat system. But then again, I'm a HUGE Witcher fan so I just ignore any flaws the game has.

Dude have you played the witcher 1? I would suggest play the first two first it does follow each other so you will miss a lot of references and the story does matter compared to most games these days.

I personally preferred the witcher to skyrim but thats like comparing apples to pears two have different tastes but both are enjoyable.

It will be a while before I can play this game maybe atleast 4 years

Haven't played any of The Witcher series.

Is it recommend I start with the 1st and 2nd or can I go straight to The Witcher 3?
I read you thought new vegas was hard? The witcher makes that game look really easy. Both games are really hard though once you get the rythym of it it gets easier.

I couldn't stand all the American voice actors in a fantasy game Just my preference. You have to admit that it did sound rather bland for all the characters other than the main ones. Geralt's voice is awesome, but those generic NPCs were just copy pasted. Maybe it was just me? The Witcher 2 fixed most if not all my issues with the voice actors. I don't remember anything particularly jarring like my experiences with W1.

The combat system was different, I'll give them that. At least they tried something new. I wasn't really a massive fan, but at the same time didn't really dislike it. It was fine. A couple of my friends couldn't handle it though, once Geralt started waving his sword around like a wand, nope that was it. I hope that they get that perfect mix of W1 and W2 systems for W3.

I too am a massive Witcher fan, but you need to criticise so people can improve W3 will be the first game that I've pre-ordered in a very long time. Collections Edition here I come (hopefully) It's a sigh of relief to have a good, challenging (Dark Mode feels like an accomplishment) and ultimately entertaining game to stand out from all these dumbed down games that we've been getting recently. I have high hopes for W3, hopefully they don't disappoint.

Witcher 2 was actually much easier than Witcher 1 IMO. Even before all the patches that made it easier.

Just please, no corsets CD Projekt. Geralt isn't a ballerina. Especially after coming from the amazing W1 and W2 armor styles.

You make some very valid points there. Some of the voices were pretty generic yeah. You should try playing it in Polish with English subtitles, makes a HUGE difference in the quality of voice acting. Actually finished both games like that.

What I loved about the combat in W1 was all the awesome animations Geralt had, especially some of the finishing moves. I definitely agree with you that the second game was easier than the first.

Really looking forward to W3 and IMO CDPR cannot disappoint. The best developer in the business hands down.

I'll try that when I do another playthrough near to when Witcher 3 is released. From what I've read on the forums, they're looking to bring back the pirouettes and some of the other moves from W1. Anything is better than W2's roll roll hit, roll roll quen, roll roll hit.
Geralt's back must have been seriously broken by the end of W2

When I did my signs playthough, I actually didn't roll as much as when I focused on swordsmanship. Igni and Aard become super powerful after you drink some sign intensifying potions. I think the game is much more fun when you play as a 'mage'. Being able to hex everyone is quite funny.

I did the opposite route. I went mage first time followed by swordsman.

I was amazed at how...dreary the combat seemed in comparison. The lack of creative options really got to me so I really hope that W3 can make it fun to explore different play-styles instead of making one fundamentally more interesting than the other

You and me both bro. I cannot fucking wait! Thanks for posting the trailer, I was gonna do it when I got home from work today, but you saved me the trouble now.

Would rep you as well but it doesn't seem like I can do that on my phone.

My pleasure CD Projekt know how to make fantastic trailers. Love the music so far, and everything showed was rendered in realtime.

I don't want to see the recommended spec sheet for this game

Still waiting for a proper gameplay trailer though. Hopefully early next year...

EDIT: The music used in the trailer

All I can do is drool! This and Dark Souls II are my two most anticipated games of this year.
