It's a gaming engine, developers have free reign over how good they want their games to look, but it would be kinda pointless if no one's pc could handle it. Plus you can make a game look good without going overboard.

Looks good... Wonder If the next crysis involves the Cities![]()
This is soooo prettty... I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the future![]()
Indeed there is an amount of PC users foaming at the mouth about how CE3 is cross platform... not even thinking this should mean a ton of great games on the PC that are ports but will be so much better than before! Because most of the console games are PC engines from 4 years ago.... And have not been uprated on the PC since then....
And CE3 is 100% DX10 rdy.. We shall see what it offers PC wise for Dx11 or 10.1 etc etc.
I love the fact that it is multi platform. I want more then 2 games using the cryengine..
Multiplatform is awesome. I don't understand why people would actually care about it anyway. All I care about is that it looks nearly as good (if not better) than the Crysis engine, and runs a LOT better.
The difference between pizza and your opinion is that I asked for pizza.
well to put it like this even a 260 can now run crysis at 720p @ 60fps my 280 does 1080p @ 50fps. This is more optimized then that and we get new cards in the next 6 months so shouldn't be a problem![]()
Think people worry about multiplatform for a few reasons:
1. Dumbed down for console
2. Graphics down for console
3. Priced higher (*cough* MW2 *cough*)
4. Consoles are nearly always released before PC games
Reason I hate it going cross platform is the my younger cousin gets sadistic joy in kicking my butt on console on a game Im good on the PC...![]()
Wait... what?
