Cricket in any format blows my ... beard back. (Ol' baldies can't have their hair blown back ). I love the 5 day stuff, but there is more of the shorter stuff around.

Last I heard was that they were planning on creating a test world cup where the top 4 teams participate? Don't know what the latest with that is.

That would fantastic. Strength verse strength. Home and away. Play it at the Wanderers maybe?

I'm also hearing that Steyn will be fit for our crunch game against the Windies on Friday. Great news that.

You should find a friend with premium dstv and stream it off SuperSport or go to the dstv forums and use the smart card info from there (dont tell anyone I said that )

None of my friends have dstv premium package

Anyways is anyone watching the game with England and Sri Lanka. England (Ravi Bopara) scored 28 off the last over to propel them to 293/7 in their 50 overs. Very impressive over. England and India are definitely the teams to beat in this tournament.

I hear that Sri Lanka chased that score down with 17 balls to spare. A win by 7 wickets with Sanga & Jayawardene both getting centuries. Blows pool A wide open with that result.

Problem is SABC only show the SA games that are local and they don't broadcast test games anymore. It is the first time in ages that I have actually been able to watch an internationally staged game with South Africa in my room.

Jayawardene was out for 44. Just Sangakara got a century, the man who did most of the destructive damage to take the game away from England was their pinch hitter, Nuwan Kulasekara (not sure of spelling) who got 50+ with a strike rate of over 150.

doubt there will be much of a game today. I know the rain there today is pretty bad so if there is any play it will likely be a shortened game and likely abandoned. In that case South Africa will go through to the semis and will likely face England or NZ, probably NZ as they are dominating England in ODI's recently.

I have been using supersport.com and espncricinfo for the scores and news while at work
