    Default Gaming Laptop

    Hey guys

So I'm looking to buy a laptop but that will also be able to play current and new games such as GTA5 and Watch Dogs.
I know the best option for gaming is a PC but I need to get a laptop and my current PC is old (C2D), so thought I'll get a laptop that I can work and play on.
My budget is around the R15k mark, I've been reading a lot and my best options around this price mark seems to be the MSI GX60, but the new hitman edition that has a better CPU than the previous one or the Samsung NP700 but it is a bit more expensive.
I know it is not a good time to buy with the exchange rate so might wait a month or two, I know there is also the issue of Haswell that might bring down prices?

Any advice will be much appreciated!

I would go for Acer or Dell if you want a great laptop which will last for many years.

I still play the current games on high settings with my acer laptop I spent 18k on 4 years back.

http://mygaming.co.za/news/pc/49024-...ops-in-sa.html - Although they may we way out of your Budget.

Going to be a bit tough, looking for a decent one with 15k as most of what I have seen either has HD4k from intel or HD56xx series from AMD in that price range.

Why aren't you happy with the G60? Didn't meet your expectations?

I know that it is difficult to get a pure gaming laptop for R15k but both the MSI and Samsung has a 6970M, which is not bad. For me it's just about getting the right balance between price and performance.

It is decent for the price but it can't handle the newer games.

What are you looking for exactly PlainStack?
    Screen size?
Is this a complete desktop replacement?
    Does battery life matter?
Styling important or not as much?
    Touch screen?
What OS win 8 or win 7?

    Short Answer: Yes.

Long Answer: Yes, but you'll have to settle with med/low settings as time passes. Depending on the screen size and if you want to play fullscreen. Rather buy a El Cheapo GIGABYTE Q2005 for R2700 for work and spend the rest on a desktop. For R15k you going to get 8GB's of RAM, core i5/7 maybe a SSD but you'll get mid range graphics power.

Dafuq? When I clicked the link I though it was a advert from 1991!
    ***Edit
While thats a awesome laptop for it's price I don't think the OP will get the performance he is expecting from a GT 630. http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-...M.63761.0.html

    ***Edit
I was looking at the wrong laptop :/ my bad!

Maybe with me working for the company im a little jaded, but if i were goin to buy a gaming laptop I would only ever buy a Asus. The G-series round is the best out there in performance, looks, extra gear and service.

I got to work extensively on the gaming laptop products and man i wouldnt settle for less
