Basically what will happen is a company only releasing a game on one format will be able to charge the world for that game as the supplier knows that their target market will buy the game at any price, as a consumer you will have no choice as the game is not available elsewhere...

Hence the monopoly effect on the market.

Yes this is great for the producers of the game but all the benefits above will come at inflated costs that will be carried by the consumer... us...

The flip side of the coin could also be argued that the reason that Unchartered and Fable are such great games is because of the competition that exists between the consol manufacturers, I just don't want to have a PS3 and an Xbox pilled on top of each other in my livingroom because of a marketing ploy. (Actually that would be great but the wife will have none of it!)
