Why do they do that at that time of the day, surely it would be better to do it during 12am - 6 am when people are usually driving home drunk from their nightly adventures

And I agree, there should be more activity on weekends from 11pm onwards.

No bugger off... A pissed off copper having to work at night, WILL pull you over and cause kak for you even if you've had one drink...

There's a difference between driving drunk and driving over the limit... although there's only one way to measure this...

One drink is one too many when you're driving late at night ..... that one drink coupled with the fact that you're sleepy is like drinking a bunch. Same effect. I wish every person that has even just one drink would get pulled over and harassed way more often.

Fully, I could have sex with Beer it's that good ....... but, if we're gonna have a dop, we must not drive, finish en klaar. Dos over or get a designated driver, the behavioral change starts with each of us as an individual

I just wish we had safe and reliable public transport for 11pm - 3am over weekends (to and from the places) , then i'd be much more likely to change my behaviour. I was in Amsterdam a month ago and we drank like fish every night all over the city (and outside the city) , we could walk, bus, train and even cycle our way home every single time without incident. Hell a few times it was quite a sobering walk. If i could do that here, i would never go out for drinks with a car.

As it is, cabs cost like R12.50 p/km and always charge a "call out" fee on top of that . Then you still have to wonder what happens to your car if you arrived with one. Companies like GoodFellas who drive your car home, require even more money from you and limits your options as well. It's rare that i go to one single place etc.
