SA gaming keyboard price roundup: backlighting on the cheap

Backlighting is so useful for late-night gaming, but does such a feature necessarily command a high price? Our roundup suggests otherwise.

I'm very happy with the G110 - the macro keys are fantastic - I use them for much more than gaming macros - eg in Excel and Word Tables

Only thing you need to get used to is that it is slightly more compact than a normal keyboard - so you do need to adjust to that.

I don't get this - at all. Who the hell looks at their keyboard?!? If anything extra sources of light would distract me.

Esp for gaming - the WASD keys don't move - I promise.

Haha that's one way to look at it. I don't need to look at the keyboard at all to type anymore but I'd still like to get a mechanical back lit keyboard.

I just switch on the lights for late-night gaming. Backlighting has always seemed a bit gimmicky to me.

Yay my keyboard is there, K8100 in black.
Only problem Wesley is that the keyboard comes with a latex like keyboard cover. This cover makes the lighting a bit dull when it is on and when it is off the keyboard buttons are a bit loud when you press them.
Otherwise its a brilliant keyboard that I would recommend to anyone who has taste lol

Oh, so your one did come with the dust cover? I wasn't sure if all the K8100's came with it considering that Gigabyte wanted to make it cheap and accessible. Glad to hear its still working for you
