My wife works as a developer and is freaking AMAZEBALLS at her job. Even though she works in a small company, the politics and crap flying around is just as bad as my current large corporation job. In fact, I think in the developer World things may be even worse due to the intense pressure that comes with the job. Either way, in this life or the next, the goal is to start your own company and work your ass off for yourself and NOT for the next person. That's the only way you'll find happiness or, at least, justification.
