Change start with you. It's easy to say "people will not pitch" for this initiative. It's not about other people. It's about you. It's about if you have the balls to do this. Do you have the conviction. Even though this might not work at all, WHO CARES!? At least you did something. At least you tried. We are too quick to fall on the old "what can I possible do" additive. But if each one of us did just one thing to change our country, just think of what we can achieve.

Yup. Been there... took a days unpaid leave to be there. And of course about 10% of the people turned up. This was in Cape Town a while back.
My prediction is that less than 20% of people "attending" will actually be there. This is what is called arm chair activism.
I would love to be wrong. I hope I'm wrong.

It's like the whole rhino horn crisis, the whole Share Brigade is convinced that sharing a picture (instead of doing something, I don't know, useful?) of a dead rhino is going to scare the poachers - because nothing strikes terror into the hearts of a rhino poaching syndicate like a picture of dead rhino.

Remember the whole Woolworths debacle? Well done to all - those two days of abstaining really showed them a thing or two. Although soccer mom #2 couldn't handle the morning without a latte so that idea went out the fcking window didn't it?

My point - people in general are too complacent, too lazy and too plain slapgat. And worst of all, the powers that be are fully aware of this.

I can just imagine the turnout...

The South African middle-class isn't exactly known for its proactive stance on matters.

Well, see the link below, it was something I wanted to get off the ground two weeks ago before I left for Zambia, I had it up, I asked people to sign and re-share, but I am so far from my target it is not even funny.

Keyboard Warriors and Armchair Critics are the bane of our society. They only have negative BS to add to anything, but they are to lazy to get off their arses and do something about the plight of our people and our country.

If you lot are keen and in the Pretoria area we can start our own little Urban Action Groups so long and get ready and mobilized for November, spread the word and invite other people in person to the event and make use of social media like forums, chat channels, and of course, Vleisbook.

So let me know if you are keen, and for those of you to far away from Centurion, well, I hope you have a good day on the 5th of November

Protest marches are for petty wage arguments not serious issue that affect our future, don't you guys listen to cosatu and the anc. This is gonna be a flop. Also when was the last time you saw Doctors, Lawyers and Accountants march down the street trashing shops and emptying bins.
