That's freaking great news. I remember (very clearly) that there was a period where you could not remove your credit card info once it has been linked to your xbox live account. A lot of people were complaining about it and MS said that if you wanted to remove your credit card info you'd have to delete your xbox live account completely.
That said, does the introduction of local currencies mean that vouchers will be going out the window completely? Or, will there still be vouchers, but instead of points it acts like iTunes vouchers where it contains an actual currency? I mean, the reason why companies use vouchers is to reach people who don't have credits cards, or who don't feel comfortable in using their credit cards online.
