Story is good, but the combat is insanely repetitive. Only get it if you're willing to endure that for the story.

I didn't like Alan Wake. I stopped playing as soon as he was being a Dick to his wife/gf. Not for me.

In the usual half-arsed way, yeah. It's gone over to the same/a similar model as Guild Wars. Buy once, play until the studio goes under.
