    Default Potassium cyanide in hijacked truck



    Police are looking for a truck carrying the highly toxic chemical, potassium cyanide, which was in a truck hijacked in Midrand.

    Inhalation of the chemical could lead to death, said Lt-Col Katlego Mogale.

    She said it was in a Krome Metal Chemicals truck which was hijacked in Midrand on Saturday, and she urged people with information about its whereabouts to contact the police.

    Wow hope they get the truck back soon. Im in CT so I don't think I will need to worry about myself much just hope it isn't used on others though.

    This is really concerning...if that stuff is dumped into a water source a lot of people will die!

    Also, why would someone hijack a truck like that unless they actually wanted whats in it for some reason or other...

    Think people in JHB should be very careful. If it gets into water supply its almost impossible to get out...

    Very disturbing stuff this.

    Hemi300c posed a good question on MyBB, what if this vehicle was in a collision etc, surely there should be procedures when transporting this sort of thing? Even some sort of tracking device on the vehicle too?

    There probably was, probably just disabled though
