Yeah definitely not a selling point for me. Some people are arguing well it will mean developers will be more keen to do something with it. I see it as MS mitigating the risk of it failing onto the consumer. Its not like they didn't sell a hell of a lot of version one (24 million units) I'm not saying it isnt going to do well or isn't cool, but I think they should prove it is before forcing you to buy it.
I never got the kinect 1, but I think I'm actually okay with it coming with XB1 this time, they've improved on a very interesting concept, even if it doesn't help gaming, I'm sure someone somewhere will create a very cool app to use it with, I do like the idea of voice-commands, and I think with the reduced latency it has in Kinect2.0 that I'll scream "foos roh dah" when ESVI comes out :P
