I'm seriously considering re-rolling classes. The monks are tremendously under powered. I tried a dungeon yesterday with 2 monks, that we did easily with Isen, myself, Capt. and Amethyst, and we failed at the 2nd boss cause we couldn't burst the adds down. I really hoped that this bloody class would be great late game, but it seems my hopes were misplaced...

That sucks dude. I also figured the class would come into its own late game... I'll run my conjurer with you if you plan on levelling another class.

Not too sure what to level though. Probably have level dragoon. Seems we need them most.

The only non-mage that does proper damage is the bard. We have more than enough bards and they bore the shit out of me... Guess i will have to see if the Dragoon is worth it. Don't need two worthless jobs.

To get badge on Armour there is an NPC that stands near the NPC's for the grand company stuff...however they stand behind a counter, while NPC for badges etc stands out in open (At least in Ul'da) she can put badge on gear for ya.

By FC you mean Free company I assume, have you not been invited yet? If that's the case, just give us a shout when your online and we get you an inv....

Not sure what leve's you having issue with tho....if its company leves , you need to follow storyline quest until you get recruited in a grand company, you have to choose which one you wanna join, ie: flames, maelstrom, cant remember other one :P Cant remember if the grand company is at 25 or 30.

That will give you access to grand company leve's which you find in some bigger quest hubs.

    Hope this help.

Frudi my brother is playing a dragoon and he likes it a lot - speak to him tonight :P I have to admit the Bard is just becoming more and more fun. I just need to get my Lancer up to 34 for that extra dmg skill. The bard doesnt feel that OP when I play but I can see the effect it has on the boss runs, especially when I swap to Mana regen - that 20% dps loss makes a fight seem twice as long.

Bane he should be in the guild, the Grand company opens after you reach Vesper bay, at lev 20 - that is how you get the seals to buy your chocobo.

Problem is I need to compare them to each other on 50. I like playing the Monk, but no point in playing them if they are utterly useless. It feels like I'm playing an Elementalist from gw2. It's a really underpowered class. It's not like I can even support people with it in any way. Oh sure, I can reduce the target's INT and blunt resistance. I'm pretty sure the mages will be ecstatic, when they finally run out Mana, that they can now run up to the boss and beat the boss for an additional 10% damage, seeing as how only Monks and casters' melee weapons do blunt damage. The only two classes I'd consider playing atm is the Dragoon and Bard. After switching to them to see whose skills look the most interesting and comparing damage, I noticed one thing: Monks are the only damage based class in the game that doesn't have a spell that has over 200 potency...

Dc message me tonight and I will check which quest it was for you.

Frudi, true, but I am sure that they will improve the monk sooner than later. All I will say is stay melee, you love the complications of melee, the mages and bard will bore you to tears.
