    Hey

Anyone here mind giving me their impressions about this game? I would appreciate it over just some meta critic comment

I've played MMOs for 15 years plus and can say with most certainty that this is the best MMO I've ever played. It shines as a AAA release above all other releases in it's genre. As I graphic designer, I've always been a disappointed with the graphics and mechanics of most MMORPGs. World of Warcraft's sound mechanics and the difficulty of it's Heroics made up for it's outdated graphics; that's what kept me hooked for 8 years. Thus far, Final Fantasy XIV has succeeded in incorporating both. It's the most beautiful MMO I've played to date; it's attention to detail is outstanding (e.g. I've yet to see aliasing; your character actually lip syncs/turns it's head and eyes to face other players when you look at/speak to them; character model, environment, ambiance, monster detail is phenomenal). I tried very hard to be critical during the BETA, but there was absolutely nothing I could fault SE on. Not even Blade & Soul's graphics are this good and I rated them as the best graphics I've ever experienced in an MMO. The story is both interesting and engaging; the use of ongoing NPC-character interaction and cutscenes make it almost impossible for players to power level/skip the main story quest. The crafting system is unique and again, makes it almost impossible to power level. Simply put, it's just everything I've ever wanted of an MMO and then some. Some may be disappointed that it has a targeting system as opposed to a live action combat system, however, it's bizarrely refreshing to be able to pause and think about what you're going to have to do next (yes folks, you're going to have to stop casting/dpsing and move out of the fire no active dodge here ). It pains me to use a phrase that might seem nauseatingly cliched, but SE have put the magic back into the MMO genre, IMO.

I'd say yes. I don't think you'd be taking any risks whatsoever purchasing this particular MMO. If it was anything else I'd say, "Well, it may not be everyone's cup o' java", but I simply cannot fathom how anyone could not enjoy FFXIV (unless they hated Fantasy MMOs? Or they had a shite GPU?)

Well it's cheaper then most games and you get 30days with it so there is no reason not to test it out.

Most of the people in our little guild have maxed out quite a few of their classes (mostly combat ones) and it hasn't even being a month yet.

Lycan, leveling is fast, and you get bonus experiance, if you level your second and first class on the same char, about 50% exp boost until they are the same level as the main class.

Yes but these are the guys that usually grind through their levels and trying to get the most effective way of lvling.

Don't worry though because there are tons of classes, you also get skills for lvling different classes that can carry over to others.

My main class is only lvl25 now, secondary is lvl15.I'm busy with the Disciple of the Hand and Disciple of the Land classes (they are slow lvling and cost allot of gil to lvl but in the end you can sell your crafts for the highest bitter on the market, provided the market prices don't keep getting screwed up)

We are a friendly bunch so don't be scared of asking for help on TS or FC chat.

BTW does anyone have high lvl cooking?,need XP,Control,Craftsmanship and CP buffs.

Want to lvl all the DOTH classes to lvl15 so i can unlock the fist set of special crafting skills.
