Hey does anyone have this same quirk as me?
When wearing headphones one ear must always be free to also hear my real life surroundings.

    Anyone?

Na not me. I need the immersion. BF3, the Arma series, Dirt series. I love being immersed and I don't take the headphones off.

Are you a fan of the CM Storm headsets? I find the cups too small as I have stretchers in my ears (first world white person problems)

Yeah I am, this is the only one I have used, haven't used the other Sirius (I think thats the name) as in real life I wouldn't pay more than R200 on a headset. Took me a while to get used to the weight difference though compared to my previous XGR elcheapos.

Does it get heavy after long gaming sessions? That's something I can't have in a headset.

No, its heavy at first when you put them on, but you start getting used to them each session so you end up not really noticing the weight. Thats what I found at least.
