The thing is... the following ISPs had their limits clear, I know because I was with both Afrihost and WebAfrica while they had rolling windows implemented. Its not ethical to say stick to a limit, but you never give the limit. Why? Because you can always change that limit to suit you and not the other person.

A quick list I made on myBB from what I could find from those times:
    Web Africa - Limits Defined
    Axxess - Limits Defined
    Afrihost - Limits Defined
    Isat - Limits Defined
    WebNow - Limits Defined

    Some of those "1.5TB" abusers:

IMHO I agree with DJ... and mweb should be boycotted as much as possible. They much like Microsoft with the xbox one wants you to just stomach it because it is good for you.

From your examples it does seem to be inconsistently applied and that needs to be addressed.

So call me defending the indefensible if you must, but if folks claim they didn't know, I don't get that.

yeah I'm with Lyt on this. people pay more for a premium account because it is unthrottled, now they turn around and throttle us!

and now they're telling me my little "1mb" line is doing 200gb+ a month..... I think MWeb's monitoring system is just as retarded as they are.

    I'm moving.

LOL, I just saw a friend on my facebook feed have an issue with this. His uncapped account was throttled after he had downloaded 25 gigs. He asked why, they said he had gone past a threshold and they were now throttling him for the next 25 days. He asked what the threshold is.... Mweb "We don't know, but i see you have the standard account, we advise you to get the Premium account". He asked what threshold is for the premium account. Mweb - "we don't know."

1Mb is premium AFAIK. I even checked the website, it states all 1Mb lines are premium. Yet is still shaped pretty badly, you can get 2/4/8/10 but if it's not premium you going to get shaped.

What I have picked up they look at your average usage and then decide at what amount of data you will be capped. When I was on 1Mb 90Gb way my limit. Moved to 2Mb (premium) and got to ~120Gb without problems but I wont push it any further.
