    Hi JPS,

    Welcome to the forums.

First things first. What will you be doing with the PC? Gaming? Working? What vendors do you prefer buying from?

After we get that information we can put together one helluva build.

Alright I put a similar build together for my girlfriend. She's able to play most new games with settings on low. She isn't using a GPU though as the CPU has a decent APU.

    Motherboard
    ASRock FM2A75M-ITX R944

    CPU
    AMD A10-6400K R1 027

    RAM
    Corsair Vengeance 2x2GB R566

    PSU
    Corsair CX500 R667

    GPU
    AMD HD7730 R1 127

    Total - R4 331 excluding a case.

In terms of a case. That's up to you and your preference. Everything will fit into any case as I recommended an ITX board. I would suggest using a 64bit OS as well otherwise the 4GB RAM is rendered useless.

    I hope this helps.

Yeah the pricing is a lot better and also because of the APU (Accelerated Processing Unit - a combination of CPU and GPU elements into a single architecture). Also, my girlfriend is using the same CPU without a GPU in her system and it's powerful enough to run most of today's games on low without any trouble.

I also went with the AMD GPU as it's cheaper than the NVidia counterparts.

    Nailed it.

Could go for a Pentium G, H55 instead of a A10 but the A10 is a quad core. AFAIK.

Also rather get one 8GB stick of RAM. Makes it easier to upgragde later, and 8GB makes a big difference over 4GB.

Yeah I initially went with 4GB just as a placeholder as I'm sure OP will want to swap out a few things. 8GB will be miles better and at the price of R863, it bumps up the total to R4 628, leaving OP with a fair amount for a decent case.

I take it though that he has the HDDs already.
