Hi all.
First of all, if this is in the wrong section of the Forum or infringe on any rules, I apologize in advance and please let me know if I am in err.
As some of you might know there is a new freeform space trading and combat sim on it's way called Star Citizen by the mind behind Freelancer, Starlancer and the Wing Commander saga, Mr. Chris Roberts.
This will be an online multiplayer game hosted on several servers around the world forming one big cluster making one big universe so players from all around the world will all be in the same universe. You can check out the game here https://robertsspaceindustries.com/about-the-game
Now as most of you probably know, our pings to international servers are usually quite high which might make it a bit difficult when fighting in realtime dogfighting scenarios against American players for example (the first 3 main servers will be based in the US, Asia and Europe). This is where we need your help.
A friend and I started a little petition where we try and get as many SA gamers to support our Star Citizen cause by doing a little speed test on SpeedTest.net to a US server and posting the speed results. We will then send these results to the development company Cloud Imperium Games and hopefully, if we have enough results, we could petition for a official link to the Cluster here in Africa so we could also enjoy the lower pings.
For more information on security and steps to "sign up", please check our link here: http://sastarcitizens.co.za/sa-citizen-roster/
Also please forward this information to whoever might be interested in this kind of game and show the world that the Saffers do not actually live in caves and would like to compete and play on even grounds
Thanx for reading this wall of text, and thanx in advance for any support![]()
