    Default Microsoft launches White Space Project in SA

    Don't know if any of you have heard about this but yeah, when i can I'm going to jump right on this... I'm sure i wont be the only one

    "Nyati also said that ‘white space broadband’ – as it is being coined – could possibly become available for $2 – $5 (or R20 – R50) for 4Mbps of uncapped usage each month."

    The last I heard this trial was only being used for schools in Limpopo. The rest of us will have to wait for the digital migration of SABC to get done first so good luck getting on that wagon in your lifetime.

    Did some more reading up on this..

    "The test aims to prove that this spectrum - plentiful in some areas, especially where there are few TV channels in operation, but often fragmented - would be suitable to meet government goals for getting low cost broadband access to the majority of the population by 2020."
