Default This is my first pc build. I will be using it for general gaming. Need some help...

So far I have bought what I have thought to be good general products for my gaming pc, only through research online... Im not very experienced in computer hardware but im giving a pc build a try
What I have so far is..
    MSI Z87-G43 motherboard
    Intel HASWELL i5 4430 3.0ghz cpu
    4Gb ddr3 1600 RAM
    Gigabyte Aurora 3D case
Im sure i'll find a good 500gb HDD soon.

I need advise on a GPU and a PSU.
Also any comments or advise would be appreciated.
    Thanks

budgetise? 7990 is a good card but doesn't help if you can't afford it.
contact me if you are in Cape Town and looking for PC Hardware at very competitive pricing. We also do web and graphic design.

I would suggest going for more than a simple 500gb, you'll be surprised at how fast it fills up. Also the difference in price between 500gb and a tera can be as close as R100.

"4Gb ddr3 1600 RAM", make sure you buy a good brand

Why buy Z87 is you bought a non-"K" series' intel chip? Just wondering...

Otherwise it looks good so far. Maybe a GTX 760 or is that out of your budget?

Not really a big fan of nvidia myself but guess that's personal preference for ya

I'd go for this seeing as it falls into your criteria.. Maybe have a look at upping the RAM to maybe double that for now and your definitely going to have to get at least a tera as Mb12 suggested.

Before you know it that thing is full and you'll have to spend more money.

My previous card was a 6770 and and it did its job i guess. Liked it so much that i upgraded to a MSI 7950 Twin Frozr III OC, LOL. But in the end its up to OP to decide what he wants. I have nothing bad to say about the 760 but seeing as i'm more of a AMD fan boy i'd rather go for the 7850

For the love of god. GET MORE RAM! PLEASE!?
8GB's at least, 4GB is Okay but you'll have to wait a while for games to load, and stuttering may occur too.

Thats actually a funny story, I ordered an "upgrade kit" comprising of my motherboard, ram, and cpu from computersonly.co.za and then they told me that they no longer have the 3.4ghz 4670k and instead gave me the 4430... was this a huge loss for me? they gave me an extra 4gb ram and paid for shipping?
