    Default Budget Headset

    Hi

    Looking to buy a budget headset with mic to use for example in Counter Strike for voice chat etc.

    Any recommendations?

    By budget, what sort of price range are you looking at? Also, do you just want to use it on PC, or on consoles as well?

    the turtle beach earforce 1's are pretty decent hey. they fit snuggly and cancel out outside noises wonderfully.

    Only for PC, looking in the +-R300 range if possible.

    @Pooky,

    Would headphones with a clip-on mic work as well? The Zalman ZM-MIC1 is perfect for that.

    ^^ Cheapest and most effective option if you already have headphones.

    Else take a look at these for over ear design:

    That could work, do you know if it picks up well and where do you clip it? On your top?

    These look good: http://www.landmarkpc.co.za/store/lo...et-p-3524.html

    The Zalman ZM-MIC1 is a great mic. The pickup is good and you can clip it on the headphones cable like in the picture below:

    Looks to be a good option. Main thing I'm worried about is the pickup as I don't want to shout or anything.
