Friendly request to Sycogrim

Sorry for posting this here, but I can't seem to PM you directly seeing as you have me on ignore so this will have to make do.

One of my friends has pointed out to me that you've been making a habit of badmouthing me here on the forums from time to time and I'd like to ask you to please stop. I'm not sure what the extent of it is, as she only gave me links to a few of the posts, but those I saw told me more than enough. I'm not really interested in

You seem to be operating under the misguided presumption that I have some kind of 'vendetta' against you, simply because on two separate occasions on this forum, more than two years apart, I was engaged in heated debate with you. I can assure you, this is not true. Don't take this the wrong way, but you're really not that interesting to me that I would hold some kind of vendetta or grudge against you. This is the internet. Sometimes on the internet, people with different opinions clash and sometimes things get heated. That's the internet summed up for you. If you do not want to be part of a heated discussion, do not join in on a heated discussion.

I left this forum because I was dissatisfied with the forum moderation's choice of (in)action in what I considered to be a pretty severe breach of the forum rules. Read: I no longer post here. Unfortunately, however, a lot of my friends still do and a lot of them know me by my forum handle, Graal, so I feel the need to ask you to please stop badmouthing me behind my back here. I bear you no ill will or any grudges, but it seems apparently you do so for me. We got in a heated debate and that's it. Nothing more, nothing less. To put it bluntly; get over it. You're insulting someone who doesn't even post here anymore.

Hopefully now I can take my leave of this acidic community. Thanks.

Now, normally I'd take offence to this - but cannot let frivolous bickering affect me.

This is directed specifically at syco, so don't allow your emotional status to affect others more than the person you're trying to affect.

Edit: If he's ignoring your PMs, let it be FCS! So, he badmouths you... and as you claim, you no longer want a part in this forum, then what ever is posted here shouldn't affect you.

As I said, I wanted to PM Syco instead, but VB does not allow you to PM members who have you on their ignore list. Trying to do so simply brings up an error message telling you you cannot PM him. I could not PM Syco and I could not post a visitor message on his wall either, so I made this thread in the hopes that he would see it.

And yes, a member badmouthing me on a forum I no longer visit, but which many of my friends visit, does bother me. You'll notice it was actually one of my friends who pointed out to me that he was doing this, so now I'm simply asking him to stop. There's no love lost between us, but I really don't bear him any ill will and neither do I have a grudge against him. It is also usually considered pretty rude to badmouth someone who is not present to defend themselves.

Syco has actually been relatively quiet on the forum of late and the number of times he has posted (mostly in TK), he has not referred to you even once as far as I can see.

There's a massive, glaring irony that you call him out with 'it's the internet' and 'get over it' when you do precisely the opposite by creating this thread.

You want to take your leave of this "acidic" community, then do just that. Block it out of your memory, stop reading and stop posting. Simple as that.

He needs to be heard otherwise it'll haunt his days forever knowing that he could've acted against something that was affecting him and that there was nothing he did about it.

Is there not a function that allows you to find all posts made by a forum member? I would suggest that this is a better way of trying to figure out 'if' this indeed did happen, instead of assuming it happened.

Hey, I'm not here to start a fight. I only came back because someone on my Steam friends list pointed out that Sycogrim has on several occasions badmouthed me and provided me with links to some of these posts. My forum handle, Graal, is not limited to this forum and is/has been in use on various other forums and social media sites. I would prefer it if people did not publicly badmouth me where I am not present to defend myself. Especially when the reason for it is because he holds the false belief that I, for some reason, have a grudge/vendetta against him.

I didn't post the name of my friend in this thread because she should have the option of remaining anonymous in this if she chooses to. If she wants to post it herself, she's more than welcome to, though judging by some of the openly hostile responses to this thread I wouldn't hold my breath for that.

I can see making this thread was a mistake, so if the mods decide to delete it please someone just forward the OP to Sycogrim so we can clear the air and move on. Have a nice evening further.
