The drivers won't help much if the game is CPU-limited, or the system is overheating, or the settings you're using are choking it. Have you ever taken it apart for a good clean and some new thermal paste?
The guy in the video does make the mistake of figuring out which chips are under which heatsink, but it gives you an idea of where to start.
If the laptop doesn't have two memory modules in dual-channel, do it already. Intel's chips are APUs, they rely on system memory for the GPU to get stuff done. It should give you a framerate boost in the 10fps region. It can mean the difference between a stuttering game and borderline playability. Also consider using a resolution like 1280 x 720 or lower.
