I would love to get into it and have been tempted many a time to buy it, but the fact is I don't have a group to play with nor the time to invest in something hardcore like this.
Learning curve isn't that big, it's easy to pick up if you are a battlefield player or know about zeroing and have flown around a bit before.

There are the Mil-sim servers that are pretty cool to play but then when you are not lus for the simulation there is king of the hill (3 way war for one objective), wasteland, and a few others where you can PvP. The only problem i had with arma was that $60 price tag but in the end it is worth it if you play enough.

Arma 3 sadly they had a sale recently so another won't be very soon.

There are about 8 local servers i think. There is one milsim one i play on sometimes that usually has about 10-20 players from around 18:00. The others are mostly Wasteland, Altis life and Exile. The UK servers are also nice to connect to, you don't feel the lag at all.. plus with your accuracy (Which is [a little] better than mine) you will pick players off easier (Because i do).

I love how you threw in that "a little" in there. I think you need a refresher again some time :P

It's one of those games that you need friends to play along with, as it seems kinda pointless flying solo.

    Opinions / Thoughts ?
Old post but I enjoyed the solo missions. Had fun. I had to drop difficulty though

I'm addicted to King of the Hill of late, not bad 200 ms to the server.
Took out a tank 900 meters away the other night, so epic pulling out a range finder calculating distance then applying it to your RPG.

    Still love this game somehow.
