GTA 5 For Xbox 360 Has Been Leaked To Torrents
Just a few days out from the official release of Grand Theft Auto V for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and the Xbox 360 version of the game has already found its way onto torrents. Pfft, and people say PC gamers are bad when it comes to pirating.
While PC gamers are still waiting on word of announcement of GTA V, Xbox 360 gamers have gone on ahead and started stealing the game like there was no tomorrow, following the map leak along with the leak of gameplay videos that have spread out onto the interwebs.
While there were some fake versions of the GTA V ISO floating around out there, as reported by PC Mag, this latest leak is anything but fake.
As the image indicates below (because we don't link or associate ourselves with piracy), you can see that the two-disc rendition of the Xbox 360 version is a massive 16.28 gigabyte. This is about right, as it's twice as big as GTA IV was when it originally released for the Xbox 360 and PS3 back in 2008.
The public torrent went live last night to a chorus of happy console modders, with the seeds breaking into the hundreds, meaning that the leechers are probably in the thousands. Rockstar is watching that money fly out the window like Americans saw their jobs whiff away during the economic collapse at the hands of George W. proceeding 9/11.
The leak of GTA V comes just ahead of its launch next week, which is funny because there was a recent petition begging Rockstar not to release the game on PC because of the very thing that's being reported on right now!
But that's just how it goes in the world of gaming. And so it began, the rise of kings. The console modders are showcasing that they're no pushovers; and while many of their brethren are but paupers playing on stale stations, there are some who have transcended their peasantry and have become kings among men.
There has been a fable gaining notoriety and passing throughout the gaming community, a tale of pettiness-to-triumph and a tale of rags to riches: how the console peasants became the Kings of Gaming and it continues to gain popularity thanks to news bits like this.
It all started when a lowly console peasant realized that the Glorious PC Master Race had attained many of their riches through the torrents. Feeling bereft of value, one sole console peasant dared to do what others dare not do: he defied his manufacturer overlord and modded his console. Entering into a realm where he could taste the forbidden fruits that were once exclusive to the PC Master Race. With the mod came a pathway to unspoken riches, where he was able to troll others by cheating in games; download new games without paying a dime and finally... finally, he could talk back to the PC Master Race and announce that his games could be modded, too. This console peasant ventured out to spread the word and soon the console modders went on to become the Prestigious Kings of Consoles. The end.
