Honestly, fog? In random places just to look cool? Physx has become way overrated because no-one wants to implement it properly. I look forward to seeing its full implementation on next-gen consoles.
Yip it is pretty much just a gimmick, I remember in the previous game how it dropped my fps by a huge margin and then not noticing wtf changed lol xD
PC: i7 6700k,Asus Z160P,Corsair 16gb DDR4,Samsung 256gb SSD,Asus GTX1070, Dell S2716DG
This would have been a nice addition to Arkham Asylum where the environment actually could have fog everywhere because of the vegetation and climate, but in a building in random places? Meh.
Actually the game will run on any decent rig without any drops in framerate. I'm playing it on a 1 Year old PC and it runs pretty well...
...If you want to get your Rig Pimped, then get something like BF4^^
they recommended a 3GB Gfx Memory^^
Batman Origins is quite low-spec compared to that stuff^^
Look, the physx stuff is really good. The problem is that it's proprietary. You look at what's being done with Havok and BulletPhysics, its all opensource and doing the same things and works on AMD and Nvidia cards.
Arkham City and Asylum were just annoying because you couldn't use the PC exclusive features until the first patches came out. I found phsyx interesting enough to get myself a GT630 (R700) to run as a physx card. It works with a little tinkering with an AMD card as your primary (Search Hybrid Physx).
