This is to be expected, but, just not too soon from now. Far Cry 2 was a massive improvement over its predecessor, and Far Cry 3 was also a big improvement over Far Cry 2. Suffice to say: Far Cry 4 should be too. Take all the time necessary Ubi devs. Surprise us as you did with the last installment.
What I didn't like about FC1 - Enemies have binocular vision and shotguns kill [with 2 shots] from 10km away.
What I didn't like about FC2 - Took nearly an entire clip to kill [using headshots] and checkpoint enemies respawn every 5 minutes.
What I didn't like about FC3 - Yet to be discovered, or I've forgotten.
Agreed. FC3 is the highlight of the series so far.
I don't think it was even in doubt whether FC4 would be made. FC3 was just such a tremendous success that a follow-up game is almost a given. And I share your feeling Vamps, I mean Haygs, that tey shouldn't rush it. Let the next-gen settle it's feathers first and then slap up with the awesomeness that will be Far Cry 4
I loved the first Far Cry, is was scary and for it's time had pretty decent graphics and AI.
I know Far Cry 2 had plenty of flaws but I enjoyed it and I'd really enjoy another African game.
It's probably not going to be Far Cry 4 (since going back to the jungle island turned out so well) but I'd like a game that tackles one or more of Africa's issues.
Things like poaching, African superstition (e.g. selling Albino body parts), oil, the growing threat of terrorism in Africa or China in Africa.
There doesn't need to be any preaching, it just needs to be a good shooter with these things going on in the background.
I'd really like a game like that.
