Resident Evil: Afterlife is an upcoming 2010 science fiction action horror 3-D film. It is the fourth installment in the series of film adaptations based on the Capcom survival horror series Resident Evil. The film will be directed and produced by Paul Anderson and is to be released on August 27, 2010.
Resident Evil: Afterlife picks up where the third film left off, since then Alice has been roaming the world searching for any remaining survivors. As she enters the ruined Los Angeles which has been burning for three years, she stumbles onto a jail surrounded by zombies. She then teams up with group of survivors who had been hiding in Los Angeles since the T-Virus outbreak and helps them break out other survivors held within the jail which include Claire's brother Chris Redfield.
* Milla Jovovich as Alice and clones: The primary protagonist who was previously tracked down by the Umbrella Corporation and captured in order to develop a serum from her blood. In the film she will settle her score with The Umbrella Corporation, after she let them know that she was coming after them at the end of the third film.
* Wentworth Miller as Chris Redfield: based on the video game character of the same name. He is the brother of Claire, he first appeared as one of the main protagonists in the original Resident Evil game.
* Ali Larter as Claire Redfield: Very loosely based on the video game character of the same name, she plays a prominent role in Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil Code: Veronica. In Resident Evil: Extinction, she led a convoy of survivors.
* Spencer Locke as K-Mart: A girl found by Claire's companions hiding out in a K-Mart store prior to the outbreak.
* Alex Williams as Bilie Dyork: One of the survivors of the destruction occurred in the previous film "Resident Evil: Extinction", become best friend of K-Mart.
* Shawn Roberts as Albert Wesker: based on the video game character of the same name, he is a prominent antagonist in many of the video games. In the film, he is the Chairman of Umbrella. His office is in Tokyo, Japan and through holographic technology, he has regular meetings with committee members.
* Boris Kodjoe as Luther: The leader of a group of survivors who have been hiding in Los Angeles for the past few years.
Director Paul Anderson has been quoted as saying "Alice's battle with The Umbrella Corporation isn't finished," says director Anderson. "Last time we saw Alice, she let them know she was coming after them. It's time to settle the score.
