I'm not a sports bike fan, but that is a beauty I must say. I'm much more a cruiser kind of guy. Saving up for this bad boy...a Suzuki Boulevard...

Suzuki Boulevard M109 06 3.jpg

My dream would be to one-day own a Harley.

I dont have any more, but I use to own this bad boy!

One day I'll get another one...luckily my wife loves them too, and was more pissed than I was when I sold it.

Ah thats so cool, I had the same one too, my first bike ever!
Yours now look waaay more badass that my old one. I got this bike too early too, was my second bike, and a step up from a 125cc!! I didn't even know about counter steering and all that. How I didn't kill myself or anyone else I dont know!

thb I have ridden this bike and a harley, and the Boulevard is way more comfortable. My mate just bought a Big Boy Harley, R330K!! Ridiculous I'd rather get the brand new Fireblade and a Boulevard for the price of the harley and still have cash to spare for new gear!

330k, yussis nee man!!!

Whats a new fireblade now? R150k?

Beautiful bike mate, may have just found my new dream bike.

Stop it u making me blush , if u ever get to CT and we meet up I'll take u for a ride! I will post my dream bike after this message.

I want to get a CBR600, just to use for work and back, but the wife won't allow it

Why so? Tell her that statistically there are (in relation to the amount of each on the road) more car fatalities than bike fatalities, the difference is just that bikes look so much more brutal cuz someone would see it happen and it would be in ur face. My wife and I are saving for her CBR600 now, but I'm trying to convince her to rather take my bike cuz then we can buy my dream bike instead, owning a 600 will only leave u satisfied for 3 months then u'd wana grow up and get a 1000 I can promise u that. They are way more comfortable, handle better and are just better build. And not expensive when buying it second hand. As a daily commuter with my bike I get 22km per lieter and its a 1000 and modded. U'll never be sorry!

Well I've never driven a Harley before, but it's always been a dream of mine. I rode the 1800 Boulevard once and instantly fell in love with the bike. I could just see myself thundering down the coast just cruising and not giving a damn about anything. But I only have my bike licence now for a year or so, so I'll probably kill myself with such a big bike.

she's doesn't care about stats. she's convinced I'll die if I get on a bike, and I probably will kill myself on a 1000 :p

and then there is of course the other little obstacle of the bike license

Those are some really beautiful bikes! I'' post a pic sometime of mine... I got a Honda VFR 400 NC-24. It's really old, and i just got it back from the mechanic. It's running like a dream now. Love it! But my dream bike would have to be a BMW RR 1000

I absolutely love bikes but know nothing about them. Cars and quads yes, super bikes no. All I know is they have to be HUGE and FAST!!!

I Love these two though:

Kawasaki Ninja ZX14R

MV Agusta F3 800

I think I'm more in love with the looks than the specs though!

600.jpg

As well as a cbr 250 (2013) for everyday commuting. The previous bike I had (R6) was a bit too much on fuel. Honda = economy. Even the 600 gets me about 100km with 5 liters.

Kawasaki Ninja ZX14R

I test drove the zx14r at the kawasaki dealership in centurion, that thing is the definition of a crotch rocket. The amount of power that thing has is just insane. This bike is a beast and has to be treated with respect unless you want to hurt yourself. Oh and never pop the clutch, ever.

I can already see rich inexperienced people buying this thing only to wreck it. There is a trainer at the gym who bought himself a new hayabusa, he can barely get out of the parking lot!

Well 2014 they releasing a new one, so the prices will drop a lot then, but u can buy a brand new 2013 (fucking insane bike!) for around R135K to spec.

Dude, my very first bike I ever got on to was a 1000 fireblade, and the Boulevard as much as I love it will NEVER get to that things acceleration and top speed! U probably wont kill urself on it cuz its not a sports bike it is a cruiser, and I am yet to hear of a guy having a fatal accident on a cruiser while being sober ofc lol.

Pffft Bike license smike license. I rode bike for 3 years before getting a licensce also u dont need a licencse for a bike, only learners regardless of the bike u ride, only if u want to have a pillion with u (passanger) u need a licence. And if that is one of ur biggest concerns then ur missing out lol.

Well on the next side of things, 600 kill more ppl than 1000, ppl riding 1000's are generally more responsible, 600 have an average top end of 285kmh. Thats the only big dif between them and 1000's where I have taken my bike to 323kmh and I weight 125 kg, my friend with his red blade topped 344kmh. But the pull away and things are not that far apart from 600 - 1000, 1000's are just better build, have better road handling and better weight distribution imo.

Seriously nice bike, especially after they changed the stock computer box that didnt allow u to have more control over the bike. I love them, I just feel they're slightly over priced compared to things like the R1 and Fireblade even though its in the same category. But I am a Honda dieheart!

lol! ok fair enough. but it's going to be like trying to move mountains to get the wife to agree. perhaps I should just borrow my mate's CBR1000 so she can experience it for herself

No stop this temptation.... :(

I am already battling to decide between Honda CBR600 2009 model with 2300km for R86 900 and a CBR1000 also 2009 model with 4000km and ABS for R99 9000

Don't know which 1, I want that 1000 as it also have ABS brake system but the money will be too tight apart from petrol I will only have a R1000 spending a month until i get another job which will hopefully be soon but can't say for sure.

Will use the bike 3 to 4 times a week for traveling to work.
