Then again, in Far Cry 3 you were also encouraged to kill endangered animals. No-one seemed to make too much fuss about that.
After the first few initial hunts I didn't do it again. I killed in self defence but not to actually gain anything.
same with red dead redemption and assassins creed 3. Just cant bring myself to kill animals. even if they're not real in the slightest.

The "outside" world has absolutely no idea of the value of the African wildlife. I understand the reason for the game and it is a simulator for those people that will never get the opportunity to get close to the big 5. I do not think that this game will promote poaching but I do think that some of these games do not give an accurate view of the issues faced by wild reserves in Africa.

Also, it is fantasy. A game. if we go down this route than we will have to take a stance against driving games like GT5 and the NFS series for promoting speeding and in some cases reckless driving. :-)

I actually am quite ambivalent as to the subject matter of the game itself. Species die out all the time and not necessarily due to human influence. I am only offended because good grief this is an atrocity of a game. The true crime here is being allowed to sell a game that is that incredibly bad for R300+ ...
