Post Mobile setup for music recording.

Anyone play guitar and record music?

I ask because I record my own music and enjoy it loads. I am building up a makeshift recording studio and am currently using the following:
    • Laptop
    • Line 6 TonePort KB37
    • LTD EC500 electric
    • Seagull acoustic
    • Vox AD50VT amp

I am looking into making my recording setup even more mobile so will be looking into a much better laptop with a quad core CPU and loads of ram to run the VST's in Cubase without lag or latency.

Any other suggestions for a nice mobile setup?

recording studios should be soundproof, so I suggest you start collecting egg cartons

Talk to murph when he is online or send him a pm he is very busy atm but he has his own recording studio place. Not mobile but he knows a lot about this stuff.

Yes. I have a loft room at my house that is already kitted out with wood paneling that makes it sound proof. I am looking at the new iPad Air with the iRig guitar interface. It looks schweeeet and you can record on your iPad with Garageband so that is perfect for me to record some demo ideas.

I already have loads of cartons in reserve. ;-)
