As good as AMD does their graphics, Intel still remains dominant when it comes to processor integrity. I would recommend a similarly priced i5 rather. For gaming i5 is usually your best bet when it comes to cost-to-performance ratio.

However we need to have an idea of your full budget and The Joker's full seal of approval

My budget is 12k max. I was originally planning on saving up until December to put down 20k for a pc with a R9 290x but then I decided to rather go cheaper and then buy a PS4 as well a bit later on down the line. Ya know, so I can play Metal Gear 5 lol.

So if I go higher than 12 then I might as well just keep going up for the 20. Joker told me the specs look good but recommends that I get a different power supply. Someone else on another website recommends I get a quieter fan but thats not something that bothers me.

These specs and price are from Evetech. I sent them an email asking to them to give me something thats 8 core and with the R9 280x for 12 or under and this is what they suggested.

Yeah the specs do look good.
Like I said, just give rebeltech a call or send them a Email.
They'll be able to give you the same system for a slightly better price.

I would still rather go i5 but if you are adamant on having 8-cores than you will be pleasantly sated by the FX 8350.
